The Royal Academy of Management Strengthens International Collaboration Via Executive Exchange Programme for Senior Iraqi Officials

Aligned with its strategic vision to enhance international collaboration and promote knowledge and expertise exchange, the Royal Academy of Management (RAM) has launched an executive exchange programme in partnership with the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Iraq, represented by the Higher Institute for Leadership Development.

Bringing together 17 Directors-General from across Iraqi government institutions, the highly immersive programme marks a key milestone in fostering bilateral cooperation and leadership development. Through engagement with Oman’s advanced administrative and leadership models, this collaboration is aimed at enhancing institutional and administrative capacities, facilitating the sharing of best practices, and strengthening sustainable knowledge partnerships between the two friendly nations.

The programme addresses a range of key topics, including local governance and the municipal system, Oman Vision 2040, digital transformation, economic diversification through investment in gas and renewable energy, sustainable development and fiscal sustainability, corporate governance, the business environment, the role of the State Audit Institution, hydrogen energy and green hydrogen accelerators, and employment strategies. It includes site visits to leading institutions and heritage landmarks across Oman, offering participants first-hand engagement with exemplary national best practices in public administration and governance.

His Excellency Dr Ali bin Qasim Al Lawati, President of the Royal Academy of Management, said, “The launch of this programme is part of the implementation of the strategic Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Royal Academy of Management and the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Iraq, represented by the Higher Institute for Leadership Development. It reflects our shared commitment to strengthening academic, scientific, technical, and cultural cooperation in the areas of management and leadership development.”
