The Public policies and Strategic Planning Programme focuses on HM Sultan Haitham’s directives of developing leaders and national competencies in the field of designing and implementing public policies and strategies.
This programme will focus on developing an agile, future-ready mindset, with an emphasis on the importance of working as one-government, rather than in silos, to meet the national objectives and priorities of Oman. The programme consists of integrated face-to-face modules covering global and regional developments, strategic thinking and planning, and formulating and evaluating public policies.

Develop, evaluate, and assess public policies using a robust, evidence-based approach
Champion and support a culture of collaboration across ministries and private entities
Effectively communicate public policies to different entities in the government, private sector and general public
Be aware of and encourage the use of emerging disruptive technologies such as artificial intelligence where appropriate in their entities
