Royal Academy of Management

Muscat-

At the forefront of leadership development, the Royal Academy of Management has launched The National CEO Programme. This visionary initiative aligns with His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik’s ambitious vision to develop and empower existing and future leaders of Oman across both public and private sectors. It also reflects the Academy’s commitment to fostering executive innovation and nurturing robust national leadership capabilities at national, institutional, and individual levels.

With a dedicated focus on executive leaders within the private sector, the programme represents a transformative journey towards leadership excellence. It is designed to equip participants with the essential skills and knowledge for navigating the multifaceted challenges of contemporary leadership. From mastering the intricacies of change management and steering strategic initiatives to championing innovation and embracing digital transformation, the programme offers a comprehensive curriculum tailored to empower leaders at every level.

H.E Dr. Ali bin Qassim al Lawati, President of the Royal Academy of Management, highlighted the importance of the programme in nurturing a community of future Omani executive leadership to unleash the competitive and sustainable potential of the Sultanate’s private sector, thereby driving sustainable economic growth. He further emphasised that this programme aligns with the Academy’s framework to develop national leaders capable of propelling performance and growth by empowering them with the skills needed to emerge as the future leaders who will drive the sector to the forefront of the Omani economy.
The programme takes participants on a challenging eight-month journey that comprises five dynamic modules, face-to-face, virtual, and experiential learning. It involves international discovery learning, one-to-one leadership coaching, and experimentation.

The programme seamlessly integrates theoretical and experiential learning, equipping participants with contemporary leadership and management techniques. By immersing participants in a CEO’s role within an unfamiliar environment, the programme fosters the development of resilient teams and organisations primed for competitive excellence and the ability to adapt to future challenges. Field visits further enrich the programme by exposing participants to diverse institutional models and facilitating knowledge exchange with international companies.

Applications for the programme are open to all senior executive leaders who meet the eligibility criteria requirements from May 15 to May 26, 2024. For further details and application requirements, interested applicants can visit the official website of the Royal Academy of Management and its official social media accounts. This cohort of the programme will accommodate 35 participants from senior executive leadership in private sector institutions.
