Royal Academy of Management Participates in 23rd GCC Directors-General Meeting to Promote Human Capital Excellence

Representing the Sultanate of Oman, the Royal Academy of Management (RAM) attended the 23rd Meeting of the Directors-General of Institutes of Public Administration in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) States, recently held in the State of Kuwait. The Omani delegation was headed by His Excellency Dr Ali bin Qassim bin Jawad Al Lawati, RAM’s President.

The meeting formed part of periodic gatherings of public-administration bodies across the GCC, aimed at enhancing administrative integration, sharing best practices, and developing programmes that strengthen national capabilities to support modern public-sector reforms.

At the session, member institutes discussed and endorsed the 2026-2030 work plan of the Committee of Directors-General of Institutes of Public Administration, outlining a shared roadmap to enhance administrative effectiveness throughout the region.

During the meeting, RAM presented the report of its “Future of Work in Government Programme”, which examines evolving governmental trends across the GCC and prepares civil servants to meet the requirements of modern public-sector work. At the same time, RAM announced the launch of the second edition of its initiative,  titled “Future Readiness”, designed to strengthen institutional capabilities and align with global developments in the government sector.

The agenda also included items on administrative development, reflecting the priority that Their Majesties and Highnesses, the leaders of the GCC states, place on investment in human resource development and creating of conditions conducive to comprehensive national development. The meeting concluded with the adoption of the recommendations and outputs of the Technical Committee and joint working groups of the GCC Institutes of Public Administration.

Established under Royal Decree No. 2/2022 and operating under the honorary patronage of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, RAM plays a pivotal role in enhancing Omani talent and strengthening institutional capabilities across both the public and private sectors. It embodies the nation’s vision to empower current and future leaders in line with the objectives set out in the Oman Vision 2040.
