Brief

The National Program for Developing Leaders and Future Foresight aims to develop leadership skills in middle management departments within the state’s managerial apparatus – in line with Oman Vision 2040 – to prepare candidates to face a world of increasing complexity and change.

The program is designed in partnership with the Ministry of Finance (Offset), and in cooperation with Eller Executive Education at the University of Arizona. Ranked seventh in the USA for Customized Executive Education Programs, it is one of the world’s leading institutions in the provision of organizational development solutions.

30 participants

who hold the position of assistant general manager, department director, assistant director of a department and the equivalent in the state's managerial apparatus.

5 educational modules

over a period of six months, delivered to candidates via the latest blended learning methods.

Program features:

Graduates of the program receive a training certificate from Eller Executive Education at the University of Arizona, and the Royal Academy of Management.

The program takes the participants on a rewarding learning journey over a six-month period, during which they need to be available to attend a total of 18 days.

The program design draws on modern learning methods such as lectures, individual and group mentoring sessions, performance accelerator laboratories, and applied projects.

During the program, participants will learn about global developments in the areas of systematic institutional thinking and leadership methods, social intelligence, self-awareness development, driving change and innovation based on critical thinking, and strategic thinking.

Program target audience:

Occupants of various middle management positions (assistant general director, department director, assistant department director and equivalent) in units of the state's administrative apparatus who meet the following conditions:

How can I apply for the program?

Participants are nominated by their employers after passing various stages of evaluation.

Program duration: six months
