The Royal Academy of Management Marks Completion of Two Cohorts of The Najiz Programme

Under the auspices of His Excellency Sayyid Khalifa bin Said Al Busaidi, President of the Supreme Court, fifty-nine presidents of primary and appeal courts in Oman completed the Najiz Programme. Provided by the Royal Academy of Management in collaboration with the Supreme Judicial Council, the programme was specially designed to strengthen the skills and attributes deemed essential for Court Presidents with adaptive leadership responsibilities in an ever-evolving landscape. In turn, the transformative programme is expected to have a long-term impact on the effectiveness of the nation’s judiciary system as a whole.
“The Najiz Programme aimed to equip Oman’s Court Presidents with the tools and skills to enhance institutional performance and support the efficiency of judicial procedures that align with the highest quality and operational excellence standards. The participants also engaged with experts in judicial administration, shared local experiences and gained insights into global practices. All of this, in turn, will enhance judiciary efficiency and strengthen the public’s confidence in the system,” said Dr Fathiya Abdullah Al Rashdi, Vice President of Programme Affairs at the Royal Academy of Management (RAM).
The three-day Najiz Programme has proven to be an enriching experience for the participants and the leadership community they form. The Court Presidents highlighted its role in strengthening their leadership capabilities while expanding their knowledge of modern judicial administration practices. They underlined that the Najiz Programme equipped them with advanced and emerging skills that are directly applicable to their roles, which aligns with the national vision of fostering a more efficient and sustainable judiciary system.
“Our participation in the Najiz programme stems from the Supreme Judicial Council’s commitment to develop [further] the skills of its judicial and administrative personnel. This initiative also reflects the ongoing cooperation between the Royal Academy of Management and the Supreme Judicial Council,” said The Honourable Dr Saif bin Abdullah Al-Hosni while explaining his perception of the programme.
Another participant, Dr Hamad Al-Jahwary, added, “It was an honour to take part in the Najiz Programme alongside esteemed Court Presidents, and in the presence of highly skilled trainers and distinguished administrative professionals, including former chief executives of leading economic and administrative institutions. The programme was an invaluable opportunity to gain new insights, exchange ideas, and refine judicial and administrative concepts. Key benefits included our ability to refresh our knowledge, broaden our perspectives, and contribute to enhancing judicial procedures. Additionally, we had the opportunity to explore a range of judicial experiences, both locally and internationally.”
