Royal Academy of Management

In adherence to the Royal directives of His Majesty the Sultan, the Royal Academy of Management and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, represented by the Diplomatic Academy, jointly executed an introductory programme. This programme was designed to the honorables and Excellencies members of the Council of Oman and concluded on Tuesday, 12th of December, 2023 with the presence of His Excellency Sheikh Abdul Malik Al Khalili, Chairman of the State Council, His Excellency Sheikh Khalid Al Maawali, Chairman of the Shura Council, and their Excellencies, the Secretaries. The sessions witnessed the participation of council members, fostering an environment of insightful learning and exchange. The programme was conducted from December 10th to December 12th, 2023. at Al Bustan Hall in the Council of Oman.

The programme encompassed an array of critical subjects; the powers vested in the Council of Oman, legislative and legal aspects in the Council’s work, as well as trends in foreign policy, international relations, ceremonial work, the foundations of the Omani media, preventive security, and local administration.

In the opening speech of the programme, His Excellency Dr. Ali Qassim Al Lawati, President of the Royal Academy of Management, referred to the contents of the speech of His Majesty during the opening of the Council of Oman’s first annual session of the eighth term. His Excellency commended the Council’s maturity in experience, highlighting its seamless integration with diverse state apparatus and its pivotal role in the state system through collaborative partnerships.

His Excellency also added: “The rapid and successive developments we are witnessing, whether social, economic and technical and their impact at the national level have imposed a new reality that necessitates a redefinition of the roles played by state institutions and enhances the importance of joint integrated work between them. This is the focus of the comprehensive process that the Sultanate of Oman is witnessing today to renew the country’s renaissance as required by the current and future need to push the actual implementation to achieve the goals set for the Oman 2040 Vision.
