Aligned with the commitment of the Royal Academy of Management to empower national leaders at a variety of levels, the Future Leaders Programme aims to empower the next generation of leaders by creating a learning environment that contributes to the development of talent in both the public and private sectors. It emphasises leadership skills development and enhances second-tier leadership. The programme will include 50 participants who have a minimum of three years of practical experience and with an age of 34 years and below, including employees from small and medium enterprises, start-ups, and freelancers.
The programme lasts six months and consists of three in-person modules and three talent labs. The learning journey includes different modules starting with the “Discover” module, which focuses on enhancing leadership, followed by the “Foresee” module to explore successful and advanced international experiences. Finally, there is the “Pioneer” module, which helps enhance a business-success-oriented mindset and achievement. These modules focus on developing and enhancing future skills and applying international best practices among the participants.

Yes, only a minimum of three years’ experience and 34 years of age and below can apply.
Can an individual with 35 years and above apply?
No, the applicant should be 34 years old from the date of application. (i.e. if he was 35 years and one day, the system will reject them.
What are the language requirements for applying to this programme?
Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in spoken and written Arabic as well as English languages.
How can I apply for the programme?

Under what conditions and from which job must applicants apply to ensure their eligibility for the programme?
Applicants must apply from their official jobs and where they spend 80% or more of their time and for which they are remunerated on a full-time basis.

Applicants will go through a rigorous assessment process that includes: online assessments, and recorded interviews. Details about each phase will be shared with the applicants by emails used in the application form.

All stages will run virtually. Applicants will be notified at the end of each stage of their application status as well as the next steps via emails

No, this programme is delivered face to face, with an online learning materials.
Do participants need to be on a 6 month leave to participate in this programme?
No, the programme is designed to fit the busy schedule of the participants. It is offered in a flexible format that allows participants to study while working. Some complementary residency courses will require the participants to take some time off to participate which will be from 2 to 5 days in each month. The Royal Academy of Management will communicate the dates and leave requirements with the participants once selected.
Is this a paid programme?
Yes, the participants will be fully sponsored by the Royal Academy of Management for the delivery of the programme in Oman. For the international travel the tickets, and daily allowance will be the responsibility of the participants and accommodation and meals will be provided by the Royal Academy of Management.

Can I apply for this programme if I’m currently participating in one of the programmes offered by the Royal Academy of Management?
Any individual who meets the eligibility criteria could apply for this programme. However, priority is given to new candidates to ensure maximum benefit from the programmes
When is the programme going to start?
The programme is scheduled to commence in August 2024 until December 2024.
Are Omanis living overseas eligible to apply?
The programme is open for Omani nationals living in the Sultanate of Oman and overseas. The programme requires a considerable time commitment and the participant is expected to attend all programme modules, talent laps, and coaching sessions. There can be no exceptions as this is a significant investment from the Royal Academy of Management in executive learning.
Do I have to attend all modules and talent labs?
Participation in the programme represents a significant investment of time from individuals and their organizations. Once accepted onto the programme, participants will need to sign a Commitment Letter indicating their understanding and acceptance of the programme schedule and the required course work. Participants unable to dedicate themselves to the entire Programme* for any reason should not apply. *Please refer to the Programme Calendar for the complete schedule of Programme modules and timeline.
Are there any application fees for the programme?
The Royal Academy of Management will cover programme delivery, administration fees and accommodation for the out-of-country module and Talent lab only (i.e. Talent Lap 1 & Module 2). Participants’ official entities are required to cover their own travel tickets, daily allowance,visa and health insurance. In addition, participants’/ employer entities attending the programme from outside of Muscat will need to cover travel and accommodation costs for those modules taking place in Muscat.
Will participants be required to apply for overseas visas for the programme?
Participants will be responsible for obtaining their own visas for their international modules. This should be done well ahead of their travel schedule. The Royal Academy of Management will support the visa application by providing letter of support that will show the visa applicant is a participant of the Future Leaders Programme (e.g. proof of acceptance).
Where will the Oman based modules and Talent laps take place?
Oman based modules (i.e. Module 1 and Module 3) and talent laps (i.e. Talent lap 2 and Talent lap 3) will normally take place in the Royal Academy of Management in Muscat.
Can the Future Leaders Programme be completed effectively while in a full-time job?
The Future Leaders Programme learning journey is module-based and can be completed while participants continue to work in their current role. However, participants are required to allocate time away from the office throughout the six months of the Programme. This includes a total of 22 module days and talent laps (in Muscat and overseas) with extra days allocated for travel on either side of the module.

What if I am not available for the online test?
The dates for the assessment and interviews will be communicated at an early stage, please ensure you are available. Due to the numbers of applicants, we are unable to reschedule.
Do I need to be proficient in written and spoken English to apply?
All elements of the 6-month learning journey will be delivered in English. All Programme materials will be in English. Therefore, proficiency in English is critical.
Are any selection criteria used to rule out Future Leaders Programme applicants?
Future Leaders Programme application automatically rules out: non-Omani applicants, applicants who are not fluent in English applicants with less than 3 years’ of experience. applicants who are 34 years of age and elder Please review the application criteria section in the brochure for a complete list of the admission criteria.
What language does the application need to be completed in?
English – this is an important step to test proficiency as the entire learning journey is delivered in English.
How long does the Future Leaders Programme online application form take to complete?
The application form should take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete. Once the applicant has started the form, he/she has the option to save the application and return to complete it at a later date, as long as it is still within the online application period. You can use your National ID number and allocated password to access the questionnaire again through the registration platform.
